MARÍLIA CARVALHO DE MELO

She holds a degree in civil engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Master in Sanitation, Environment and Water Resources by the Federal University of Minas Gerais and Doctorate in water resources by the Civil Engineering Program (PEC) – COPPE/URFJ – Civil Engineering Program by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.  She is currently the General Director of the Minas Gerais Water Management Institute (IGAM). Marília was previously Assistant Secretary and Undersecretary of Inspection at the Environment and Sustainable Development Secretariat of Minas Gerais.  She is a Professor and Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Sustainability of Water Resources program, at the Vale do Rio Verde University.

STELA DALVA SANTOS COTA

Chemical Engineer graduated from UFMG, Master in Nuclear Sciences and Techniques from UFMG, Ph.D. in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation at UFRGS, postdoctoral degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada. She is a technologist at the Center for the Development of Nuclear Technology (CDTN /) of the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN) since 2002. Stela works in the areas of environment and nuclear techniques, particularly in the following topics: hydrogeology, hydrogeological computational simulation, aquifers, application of nuclear techniques for hydrological/hydrogeological studies, safety assessment of nuclear and radiative installations. She is a professor of the Postgraduate in Science and Technology of Radiation, Minerals and Materials of the CDTN, in the area of ​​concentration of Science and Technology of Minerals and Environment. She has been the editor of ABAS ‘Scientific Magazine ABAS Underground Waters (Águas Subterrâneas), since 2010.
